My sons never believed. They never believed in the easter bunny either. I guess some things do sound unbelievable and they could figure it out. 2 of the 3 were Santa believers though and were crushed when they found out. The youngest never believed. He said he didn't like "dad man" and so be it.
My daughter is 10 and will be 11 in a couple of months. I am at that stage now. She always ask, "Is the Tooth Fairy real, or is Santa real?" Well, I am still trying to figure out how to tell her the "truth" My husband has been blunt on many occasions about this with the children. Of course, I hate to burst her bubbles. She lost a tooth last month, when will the losing of the teeth stop? LOL. In my house, the tooth fairy is always late, or forgetful. Perhaps, when Christmas rolls around, I will have come up with the courage. Found you on the Bloggy Moms and love the blog.
Hi Sharon, I'm not sure when they'll stop losing teeth. LOL I thought my son was joking when he showed me the bag with the tooth in it. Telling your child isn't easy. There's no way around feeling guilty and making them sad. A hug and letting them know that you and she can always pretend to believe! It's so much more fun! xoxoxo So glad we connected! Melissa
